Mud Coffee

Mud Coffee is a cafe-restaurant near Shibuya Station that's a great place to get a sandwich and a beer after work.

Mud pride themselves on their coffee, but since I always go after work I've actually never had it. Instead I get the pastrami sandwich as a set with fries and a salad and a Brooklyn Lager to wash it down. The sandwich isn't huge but it's enough, and the dressing is particularly good and made to go equally well with anything on your plate. (I've had the other sandwiches and they're good too, but I'm the kind to pick a dish I like and order it forever.)

There's a deck outside that's nice when the weather's good, and inside there's small sofas you can grab if you're lucky, just right for unwinding after a day at the office. It's a nice place to plop down and have a slow, quiet dinner. Since they're open until 23:00 every day there's no rush to finish up either. If you're killing time around Shibuya do try dropping by. Ψ
